Azure Components

Compute:

One of the most basic things a cloud platform does is execute applications. Each of the Azure compute models has its own role to play.
You can use these technologies separately or combine them as needed to create the right foundation for your application. The approach you choose depends on what problems you're trying to solve.

Network:

Azure Virtual Networks is secure way to connect Azure resources & each other with virtual networks (VNets).A VNet is a represent of your own network in the cloud.
VNet is a logical isolation of the Azure cloud dedicated to your subscription. We can also connect VNet to our on-premises network.

Storage:

The Storage component of Windows Azure represents a durable store in the cloud. Windows Azure allows developers to store tables, blobs, and message queues. The storage can be accessed through HTTP. You can also create our own client; although Windows Azure SDK provides a client library for accessing the Storage.
